The 'Katwijk Male Singing' is a unique annual recurring event where over 1800 male voices sing together. For more than 20 years, it has been 100% enjoyment, singing together in honor of God. The large assembly of voices produces a strong sound combined with the accompaniment of organist Jaap van Rijn on the 'Van den Heuvel organ', which is very impressive. The long-held wish of this organist of the New Church has now become a concept. In April 2018, Jaap van Rijn handed over the keyboards to Marco den Toom.
The male singing is led successfully by the enthusiastic conductor Bert Noteboom. In addition to being the chairman of the 'Foundation Male Singing Katwijk', he is the conductor/artistic leader of the Christian youth choir Jigdaljahu. Furthermore, Bert works as an evangelist/district pastor in Almere. He arranges the programs in close consultation with the organist and is responsible for the various upper voices.
