My name is Thijmen Verheij and I come from Werkendam, I play the organ for which I have been taking lessons for about 3 years, and I have lessons with Reinier Korver.
What I actually like about playing the organ is playing it by heart.
I then make up my own chords.
Furthermore, I have already been to play the organ a few times with Reinier in the Sint Maartenskerk in Zaltbommel, a beautiful organ if I do say so myself.
How do I get to play the organ? My grandfather is a church organist, I thought to myself at the time, I want to be able to do that too.
And that's how I started, first I played numbers, then I started learning it by heart, and since then I've been taking lessons.
