Sophie de Bardonnèche is a passionate baroque violinist. After completing her master’s studies with Amandine Beyer at the Schola Cantorum in Basel, she gained recognition with her ensemble Le Consort and as a soloist with leading baroque orchestras. With Le Consort, she explores forgotten repertoire; their award-winning recordings and frequent appearances in major concert halls, such as the Elbphilharmonie and the Auditorium of Radio France, have earned them wide acclaim.
Sophie is also a member of Les Arts Florissants, with whom she performs worldwide and takes part in many chamber music projects. She is a regular guest with other prominent baroque ensembles as well.
In the 2024–25 season, she will perform Bach’s Double Concerto with Les Arts Florissants, lead the Orquestra Vigo 430 from the violin, and tour the United States with Le Consort.
Destinées is her first solo project, the result of years of research and performance, and will be launched with a concert at the Philharmonie de Paris in November 2024.
