Sjaak van Wijngaarden (born in 1985) was introduced to music at an early age. From the age of six, he received his first musical training from his father, after which he took organ and piano lessons with, among others, Jos Moeke. From 2002 onwards, he studied choral conducting with Cees het Jonk and took singing lessons with Loes van Schothorst.
During this period, he founded the youth choir De Croonsanghers in Uddel and was a co-founder of the double male quartet Cantare in Woudenberg. In 2015, he founded the Garder Mannenkoor, with which he has remained associated as conductor ever since. Sjaak is also the church organist at the Reformed Congregation in the Netherlands in Barneveld. As an organist, singer and conductor, he has participated in numerous performances and recordings both in the Netherlands and abroad.
In addition to his musical activities, Sjaak works as a coach, mediator, confidential adviser and organizational consultant.
