Scott Harrison began his study of the trumpet in Toronto, Ontario, at the age of 14. After finishing his high school education at the Etobicoke School of the Arts, Scott continued his studies at the University of Toronto. At university, Scott studied with Jeff Reynolds and Bart Woomert, and after his graduation in 1993, he continued his studies with Arnold Jacobs, Vincent Cichowicz and Andrew McCandless.

Scott has become an active freelance player in the southern Ontario area. His engagements have included the Toronto Symphony and the Toronto production of Phantom of the Opera. Scott was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada and has toured with that ensemble. He also regularly accompanies the Hosanna Choir at various concerts.

Scott is a founding member of the Trillium Brass Quintet, for whom he has also written a number of transcriptions and arrangements. Scott and his wife, Cathy, live in Toronto, Ontario, with their sons, Karl and Neil.
