Sander de Jager

More than 17.3k times played this month

Sander de Jager was born on December 5, 1995. I grew up in a musical family. Around the age of 10, I discovered the pan flute and was immediately sold. I quickly learned the ins and outs of the instrument. Over the years, I have taken lessons from, among others, Esti Eberhart, and in recent years, I have been studying with Claire Smoorenburg. In my daily life, I work as a specialized nurse in the First Heart Aid - Cardiac Monitoring. Music is an outlet for me, and I can enjoy the beautiful sounds that the pan flute can make, whether you are happy or sad; you can express all emotions through it. I take lessons mainly to improve my technique on the pan flute and to become better and faster. I now own several types of pan flutes, including a Soprano, Alto, and Bass.

In these years, I have mainly focused on different music styles such as classical, but also folk music like Romanian, gypsy music, klezmer, Irish, and spiritual music such as Opwekking and psalms. Particularly, the collaboration with other musicians has always been educational to create a beautiful piece together. I have gained experience with the pan flute through student concerts, the music team at Sing-in in church, and have been able to play several times with a choir.
