The Composite Girls' Choir is a one-off initiative and consists of 46 girls aged 12 to 26. The members of this special choir are all (former) members of the girls' choirs "Blijde Klanken®" from Alblasserdam and the Seba Girls' Choir from Krimpen aan den IJssel.
Both choirs are led by conductor Ria Kalkman-van den Noort. The choir from Alblasserdam was founded in 1981 and has been led by Ria since 2005. The Seba Girls' Choir was founded by Ria in 1989 and has been under her enthusiastic leadership ever since. All soloists and musicians contributed voluntarily to the production of this CD. It is our wish that the CD 'The Light is born'
will bring much musical joy, but also contribute to the proclamation of The Light that came into the world at Christmas for sinners and wants to shine in hearts.
