Rob den Hertog is currently a choir accompanist for two men's choirs. He was born on 31-12-1999. It soon became clear that he had a great interest in the organ and that it also became his favorite instrument. From the age of 5 he received his first organ lessons from Rinus Verhage. There he learned technique for playing the organ and to be able to play classical pieces. From the age of 12 he received improvisation lessons from Dinant Struijk. After which he was also asked to be a church organist in the Reformed congregation in Ouddorp.
In the same period he ended up with Lennart Morée to also take piano lessons. Later he received organ lessons from Everhard Zwart, which was followed by a few years of instructive lessons. After this he took organ lessons with Lennart Morée.
From 2019 Rob will accompany the Duivelands men's choir conducted by Bram Bout and from 2023 also the Dirkslands men's choir conducted by Dinant Struijk.
