This Choir was founded on 29 April 1997 and is led by conductor Peter Wildeman. Within the Gouda region, there had been a need for an interdenominational youth choir for some time and a board was quickly formed that, driven by Peter Wildeman among others, decided to establish the choir. It soon became clear that there was indeed a need for such a choir; no fewer than 65 young people registered as members on the first evening in the Turfmarktkerk in Gouda. This number has grown to around 100 members between the ages of 15 and 35. Despite the spread of the members across the entire region, the atmosphere among them can be called exceptionally good. In the past year, the choir has not been idle. In addition to the weekly rehearsals on Tuesday evenings, the choir gave performances in the Laurenskerk in Rotterdam, the Sint Janskerk in Gouda, Bodegraven and Ameide, among others. The choir is characterised by a clear pronunciation and therefore excellent intelligibility. The choir's goal is to sing to the glory of the Lord God, who gives us a voice to magnify His name and to spread the Gospel through singing.
