The Kerkmuziek Netwerk Foundation, established on 7 June 2013, is a foundation that seeks to support and inspire church musicians, theologians, and others in developing a shared enthusiasm for church music.
Church music is not only part of our centuries-old cultural heritage; it is also a living source from which new music continues to emerge. It has two important functions: to bring glory to God and to help people reflect on and find meaning in the many questions they encounter in life. At the same time, singing together offers a wonderful opportunity to experience a sense of connection and community.
Kerkmuziek Netwerk aims to bring together the creators, users, and performers of this music, to strengthen their respective roles, and to provide inspiration. Kerkmuziek Netwerk is a project-based organisation that connects everyone involved—musicians and theologians, professionals and amateurs—through concrete projects centred around the theme of church music.
