Maurits Beeke

Maurits Beeke was born on March 15, 2005 and comes from Staphorst. From an early age he had a great interest in the rich sounds of the organ. With the logical consequence that at the age of 7 he started taking organ lessons with Roelof Mulder. From 2016 to 2019 he received organ lessons from Wouter Scherpenisse, both living in Staphorst.
In his twelfth and thirteenth year, Maurits took part in the Feike Asma Competition. In 2018 he participated in the Magré & Magré Competition. In those same years, the piano keys began to beckon. So he started piano lessons with Cor Ploeg in 2018. And he enjoys those lessons to this day.
In 2020 he participated in the Young Interclassic Duo 4 hands competition. This resulted in the making of this CD, among other things. Since the same year, Maurits has been church organist in the restored reformed community of Hasselt-Rouveen-Zwolle.
