Martien van der Knijff from Oldebroek studied organ as a main subject at the Rotterdam Conservatory, where he obtained the diploma Teaching Musician.
After this, he graduated from the Dutch Carillon School in Amersfoort as a carillonneur.
He is currently the city carillonneur of Hattem, Hasselt and Elburg. As a conductor, he has several choirs in Katwijk aan Zee, Hasselt and Oldebroek. He also has a private practice for organ and piano lessons. He arranges music for choir, organ and carillon.
