Mannenkoor ''Asaf'', Dedemsvaart
More than 623 times played this month
Due to the efforts of three enthusiastic gentlemen, the Christian Men's Choir Asaf Dedemsvaart was founded during the first member meeting on October 27, 1953. The desire of these three gentlemen to create a large Christian men's choir has certainly succeeded. The choir was named ASAF. The name 'Asaf' comes from: 2 Chronicles 7:5 to 83 and means: 'Temple singers.' It is also written that the singers from the family of Asaf (Asaphites) could remain at their post. Several Psalms were also composed by Asaf. It is a very fitting name, even for today's time. The following conductors have successively led the choir: Jan Zwart, Bert Kunnen, Jan Zwanepol, and Peter Bos. The current conductor is Jorrit Woudt.
