Lianne Laurens was born in 1986 in Ede and grew up in Veenendaal. She received her first flute lessons from Frieda Mak-Staal at the age of ten. Some time later she continued her lessons with the well-known flutist Marjolein de Wit. At the age of fourteen, Lianne was admitted to the Christian Conservatory in Zwolle, where she was taught by the Argentinian flautist Jorge Caryevschi for more than five years. After that, Lianne took flute lessons for a short time with Eveline Poser, at the conservatory in Arnhem.

During her studies, Lianne attended various masterclasses by virtuoso flutists, including Aldo Baerten and Peter-Lukas Graf. At the moment, Lianne teaches flute to about thirty-five students. She also leads her own flute ensemble Con Anima. In her spare time, Lianne regularly takes care of maintenance and repairs to flutes. Lianne played in Germany, Bosnia and Austria, among other places. She is increasingly asked for concerts and CD/DVD recordings, both as a soloist and for accompanying choirs. Recently she made her own solo album for Familystream with Joost van Belzen, Jaap Klootwijk and Peter Wildeman.
