Lennert Knops (1982) from Papendrecht began taking organ lessons at the age of seven. From 1989 to 2002, he studied with various organists, developing a preference for Dutch choral music and compositions from the period between Bach and Vierne. Several solo CDs of his organ performances have been released.

He forms a musical duo with his wife, Maria Knops, who plays the harp. Together, they have released multiple CDs. Lennert also took private lessons in choral conducting with Cees het Jonk.

As a conductor, Lennert is affiliated with several choirs: Mannenkoor Tehillim, Vox Humana mixed choir from Dordrecht, Christian Young Men's Choir Jubilate from Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, and the Hoeksche Waards Men’s Choir. He also leads the Shalom Choir, with whom he has made choir tours, including trips to Israel.

Lennert composes and arranges music for his choirs, as well as for harp and various other instruments or ensembles. Much of his music has been released on CD, including two major choral works: Exodus and Hij Leeft (He Lives).

As an organist, Lennert is affiliated with the Reformed Congregation of Papendrecht. He is also frequently heard as a choir accompanist on organ or piano, contributing to CD recordings in this role.

His concert tours have taken him to countries such as Belgium, France, Italy, Scotland, and Israel.
