Le Consort
More than 3.7k times played this month
Le Consort is a young and dynamic chamber ensemble of four musicians, performing trio sonatas by Corelli, Vivaldi, Purcell, and Couperin with enthusiasm and modernity. Their playing blends vocal expression, sensuality, and virtuosity, offering personal and colorful interpretations of Baroque repertoire.
This season, the ensemble is in residence at la Banque de France and l’Abbaye de Royaumont. In 2017, Le Consort won First Prize and the Audience Prize at the Loire Valley International Early Music Competition under the presidency of William Christie. They have performed in Paris, Dijon, Bruges, Kraków, and many other international venues, and have been featured on France 3, France Musique, and Radio Classique.
Le Consort regularly collaborates with renowned musicians such as William Christie, Mathias Vidal, and Véronique Gens, and is in residence at the Singer-Polignac Foundation. Their passion for Jean-François Dandrieu’s works led to the Opus 1 album (awarded a “Diapason d’or”), as well as collaborations with Eva Zaïcik on Venez Chère Ombre (2019), Royal Handel (2021), and the recent Specchio Veneziano.
The ensemble is supported by Mécénat Musical Société Générale.
