Lambert van de Weerd (1984) was born in the municipality of Noordoostpolder. At the age of 3, his parents moved from Urk to Dordrecht, where the foundation for organ playing was laid. After three years of organ lessons, Lambert realized that he could not express his feelings through that, and he increasingly began to play and improvise 'from his head.' Reading music became difficult for him, but on the other hand, improvisation developed further. For years, he registered and gradually made organ playing so personal that he began to accompany congregational singing. The move to Nieuwkoop led to a position there as an organist in the local Christian Reformed Church. Due to marriage and work, he moved to Nunspeet and later became the organist in the Restored Reformed Church of Elspeet. Besides his hobby as an organist, Lambert has his own real estate office and is a council member in the Municipality of Nunspeet.
On the beautiful Metzler organ in the HHK of Elspeet, he has been enjoying accompanying the congregational singing weekly since 2013. Lambert emphasizes that he is an 'amateur', he enjoys playing from the heart and accompanying the singing. Knowing how to hit the right chord and connect with the lyrics of the music is something he likes to express in his organ playing. Although he doesn't play literature, he does like to conclude with Bach: SDG.
