Koos Tillema from Kampen (1966), amateur musician in heart and soul. Received his organ training mainly with Harm Hoeve (literature) and Harry Hamer (composition). He is currently taking lessons with André van Vliet (organ, choral conducting & composition)

From the age of 17 he has been a church organist, now in the Reformed Church Zwolle and surroundings. Won three organ competitions (Maassluis, 1993 & Steenwijk 2002), Feike Asma competition (2022). Characteristic is his enthusiastic, accurate playing, with the lyrics of the song as a starting point.

Koos has been a choir conductor since 2006. He followed a basic course in choral conducting at the music school in Kampen and twice the international Kurt Thomas course. As a choir conductor, he knows how to convey his enthusiasm to the choir members. Be aware of what you sing. Choirs start to sing better under his leadership. The basis for this is attention to good singing technique, humor, musical expression, awareness of the text and a clear conducting. At the moment he leads men's choir 'Harpe Davids' from Genemuiden and mixed choir 'Zingt voor Hem' from Hardenberg.

As a side activity, he is webmaster of www.oefenfiles.nl, to practice optimally at home for the choir singer.

Together with poet Jannette Koelewijn, he published three songbooks with children's songs on biblical themes.

In daily life, Koos owns an administration office. Koos is married and father of 8 children.
