Koert Aalbers was born in 1965 in Nieuwleusen. At the age of 7 he received his first organ lessons from Mr. Bergman in Hasselt.
He continued his organ studies at the music school in Nieuwleusen with Jan Sierink.
He then received improvisation lessons from Egbert Woelderink in Hasselt and took lessons from Teun Plomp in Zwartsluis.
After that he studied for some time with Willem Hendrik Zwart in Kampen.
In addition to his work as a driver, Koert acts as an accompanist at choir concerts and singing evenings.
He is reserve organist of the Grote of Stephanus Kerk in Hasselt and of the Ned. Reformed Church in Windesheim (Ov).
