Kees Alers (1958) took his first flute lessons at the age of 9. When he was 13 years old, his musical talents were discovered by cantor-organist Addie de Jong, who encouraged and motivated him to pursue a professional study. At the age of 14, he participated for the first time in a television recording for the NCRV. During this period, he won several awards in music competitions. At the Rotterdam Conservatory, he studied with flutist Raymond Delnoye. After graduating cum laude in 1982, Kees Alers was associated with various orchestras as a flutist.
Nowadays, Kees Alers regularly performs as a soloist both domestically and internationally. He has performed at the Doelen and the Royal Concertgebouw. Furthermore, his work includes accompanying choirs. He has also participated in television recordings in Germany, Belgium, France, and Israel. Kees Alers gained national recognition as a flutist on the TV program Netherlands Sings.So far,
