Justin Taylor is praised for his expressive playing – Le Monde describes him as “exhilarating,” while Classica highlights “the art of making the keyboard sing.” Since winning First Prize at the MA Festival in Bruges in 2015, he has pursued a multifaceted career as a harpsichordist and pianist, both as a soloist and chamber musician.

His album Bach & Italy received numerous awards, including a Diapason d’Or of the Year, CHOC Classica, and a nomination at the 2024 Victoires de la Musique. His recent recording Chopin intime, performed on a historic 1839 Pleyel pianino, was also highly acclaimed.

Taylor has performed in major venues such as the Philharmonie de Paris, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and the Library of Congress in Washington, and collaborated with ensembles including Concerto Köln and the Orchestre National de Lille.

With his ensemble Le Consort, which gives around forty concerts a year, he has released several critically acclaimed recordings. Originally from Angers, he studied at the Paris Conservatoire, where he now teaches harpsichord.
