Julita Steehouwer was born in 2004 in Zwijndrecht (South Holland). When she was six years old, she took her first piano lessons from Liesbeth Versnel, and when she was thirteen, she continued her lessons with Lennart Morée, from whom she is still receiving lessons. In 2015, she participated in the Dutch Premiere Competition and reached the semi-finals. Following this competition, she performed at various concerts and also recorded several albums, including two solo albums: Cheerful Classics (2016) and Cheerful Classics 2 (2020). Her repertoire mainly consists of classical music pieces by composers such as Mozart, Chopin, and Handel, but also includes music by lesser-known composers like Chaminade and Janáček.
