In September 2019, our Youth Choir Sela was founded from the Reformed Congregation of Kruiningen with the aim of fostering connection and singing together to the glory of God. Our conductor is Henriëtte de Bat-van Maelsaeke, who has led various choirs across the country in recent years. She now directs three choirs in Zeeland.
Our repertoire mainly consists of psalms and spiritual songs, and we sing with organ accompaniment. The organists we work with are Pieter Heykoop and Jacco Goud. Our choir has approximately 65 members.
In the spring of 2022, the name Youth Choir Sela was changed to Young Mixed Choir Sela, as we raised the age limit to 50 years.
