Choir conductor Jeroen Bal (1964) is a music and arts education teacher at the Gomarus School Community in Gorinchem. He completed his AMV/School Music training at the Schuman Academy. He took choir conducting lessons at the Institute for Conducting Education, where he studied with Joop Schets, and also at the Kurt Thomas Course. He specialized in boys' choir singing and participated in a masterclass by Sir David Willcocks, the former conductor of the King's College Choir.

He has attended rehearsals of various famous boys' choirs, such as the King’s College Choir and St. John’s College Choir, both in Cambridge, England, several times.

In 1988, Jeroen Bal co-founded the Stadsknapenkoor Gorcum and has been its choir conductor ever since. Under his inspiring leadership, the choir gives 10 to 15 concerts per year.
