Jan Terlouw (1931–2025) was a former Dutch politician, author, and physicist. He was best known as a prominent member of the political party D66, serving among other roles as parliamentary leader in the House of Representatives and as Minister of Economic Affairs. In addition, he was a successful writer of children's books, including “How to Become King” (Koning van Katoren) and “Winter in Wartime” (Oorlogswinter).
