Jan Jansen
Study organ at the Utrecht Conservatory with Cor Kee, piano with Gérard van Blerk and harpsichord with Lenie van der Lee. In 1971 he obtained the Prix d' Excellence for organ.
Since 1987 he has been organist at the Domkerk in Utrecht, where he provides the nationally well-known Saturday afternoon music, together with the Domcantorij conducted by Remco de Graas. He has made a large number of LP and CD recordings, including Bach's 'Orgelbüchlein', the organ works of Mendelssohn and most recently the 'De Profundis' by Marcel Dupré with the Domcantorij. Jan Jansen is also a teacher at the Utrecht Conservatory.
