Jan has been the permanent accompanist of 'Asarela' and 'Nethanja' since 1995. He learned the first principles of organ playing from W. Lindhout Sr. Since 1993, Jan has been taking organ lessons from Wybe Kooijmans, organist of the Grote Kerk in Naarden. In addition, he has been one of the permanent organists accompanying the congregational singing during the services of the Reformed Church in Moerkapelle since 1994.
