Already during his student years, Jaco sang in the school choir of Van Lodenstein College under the direction of Cees het Jonk. Here he also sang his first solos. After singing for several years under Het Jonk with various choirs, he began taking singing lessons in 2005 with soprano Loes van Schothorst. Later, he received training from, among others, Pieter van Breugel and Ilona van Grondelle. As a choir singer, he gained experience with various choirs, both in small ensembles and larger choirs.
Jaco is a choral soloist with the Christian Choir 'Jigdaljahu' from Barendrecht, an ensemble singer and soloist with the Men’s Ensemble Espressione, and contributes as a tenor soloist to concerts and recordings with various choirs across the country. In daily life, Jaco works at STH Records. As owner, producer, and recording engineer, he is involved in many music productions.
