Jaap Boer (1961), born in Ridderkerk, had organ lessons from Mr. H. Rijnsaardt (Ridderkerk), Jan J. van den Berg (Nieuwe Kerk in Delft) and Bas de Vroome, (Oude en Nieuwe Kerk in Delft). He currently has organ lessons from the titular organist of the Laurenskerk in Rotterdam, Hayo Boerema. Jaap Boer is the permanent organist of the Reformed Church in Zwijndrecht. He is also the permanent organist of the male choir Door Eendracht Verbonden in Werkendam and the mixed choir Canticum of the Reformed Church in Zwijndrecht. He accompanied the Groot Samengesteld Mannenkoor in cathedrals in Germany, France, Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.
