Irene Bossier (1989) started taking violin lessons at the H19 music school in Oosterhout, North Brabant, at the age of 7. She only began studying at the Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg after completing her Sociology degree at the University of Tilburg in 2012, where she studied under Jenny Spanoghe. In 2019, she obtained her Master of Music degree. At the conservatory, she participated in projects led by Arjan Tien, Roberto Benzi, Chris Duindam, and Etienne Siebens, and attended masterclasses from Simone Lamsma, Isabelle van Keulen, Anton Barachovsky, Baiba Skride, Aleksei Semenenko, and Elina Vähällä. Irene regularly performs with her husband Cor Coppoolse (cello) and pianist and conductor Rowan van der Westen in various (chamber music) ensembles.

As an orchestra musician, Irene is associated with the Ars Musica Orchestra conducted by Patrick van der Linden. She has played in the St. Matthew Passion by J.S. Bach, the Requiem by J. Brahms, and The Messiah by G.F. Händel, which were all broadcast in full on NPO2.Irene has been teaching violin to children and adults in the Tilburg area for several years. Currently, she is connected as a violin teacher at the music school de Tiliander in Oisterwijk and the cultural school Hilvarenbeek.
