Henk Koesveld (Goudswaard, December 23, 1958) is a Dutch children's book writer. Koesveld was born in Goudswaard and grew up in a Protestant family. He attended the teacher training college and then studied history. After his studies, he worked for many years in education and has been a history teacher at the Wartburg College location Marnix since 1992. In 1994, he debuted with his first children's book Rowan: a story from the Middle Ages. Koesveld writes many children's books in the field of history and later also about the Christian faith. In 2002, he created the comic Bren and the Romans together with Jaap Kramer, which is about the Netherlands during Roman times. Koesveld is married and has five children.
