Christian youth choir 'Happy Voices' Alblasserdam was founded in 1983. The core of the choir consists of about 60 enthusiastic singers from the age of fifteen.
The activities have not gone unnoticed regionally and nationally. We will only mention the annual Christmas concert that is given in the Havenkerk in Alblasserdam, where the church is always filled to the last seat. But the choir is also active nationally.
The presentation list shows a large number of singing evenings, concerts, radio and TV recordings. In addition, the choir has collaborated on various CD recordings. Until 1992, Martin Zonnenberg was the conductor of Happy Voices. Since then, Martin Mans has been the artistic director. The choir's repertoire is characterized by variety. For example, the choir sings spiritual songs, but also American Gospel.
