Hans van Nieuwkoop (born in 1948) is a Dutch organist, musicologist, and music educator.

He studied organ with Albert de Klerk at the Amsterdam Conservatory. In 1974 he received the Prix d'excellence and in 1976 the Jubilee Prize from the Society for the Promotion of Music. He won first prize at the International Rhineland Organ Competition in Nijmegen. In 1977 he graduated summa cum laude in musicology from Utrecht University. His doctoral thesis, "Haarlem Organ Art 1400-present", earned him a doctorate in musicology in 1988. He is organist at the St. Laurentius Church in Alkmaar and professor of organ at the Amsterdam Conservatory and the Arnhem Music Academy. In 1989, together with Jacques van Oortmerssen, he recorded a CD of transcriptions of works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart for organ duo for the label BIS Records.
