At the age of ten I started singing with the boys' choir 'Con Amore' from Elspeet. Later I was a member of several choirs, both mixed choirs and men's choirs. In 1997 I started singing lessons with singing teacher Annette Essers. Until 2005 I had singing lessons with her. In 2007 I started singing lessons again with Annemarie Ezinga. At the moment I have singing lessons from Clara de Vries from Zwolle. As a soloist I sing a number of pieces per concert with 'Con Amore' and the Elspeets Mannen Ensemble. Several CDs have also been recorded with these two choirs. I have been working on performances of the Marcus Passion by Hans Boelee for several years now, both as a baritone and/or as a tenor/bass, I also sing "The Crucifixion" by John Stainer as a bass soloist. My vocal range is wide, this goes from bass, baritone to 2nd tenor
