As the name of our choir already suggests, we are from Yerseke, which is located in the province of Zeeland.
We rehearse every other Thursday evening in the church of the Reformed Congregation, to which our choir is affiliated. We are a large mixed choir with around 120 enthusiastic singers, currently ranging in age from 15 to 77. Our choir also helps to strengthen the bonds within our large church community.
The music we sing consists of approximately 80% Psalms and 20% spiritual songs. In 2024, we were able to celebrate our 15th anniversary. The choir has been led from the beginning by conductor Henriëtte de Bat-van Maelsaeke, and Pieter Heykoop has been our regular organist throughout all these years.
