Choir: Mixed Choir 'Comt nu met Sangh'
The choir from Nieuw-Beijerland was founded in 1972 and is based on the Reformed Church. The choir quickly grew to 50 members from throughout the Hoekse Waard region. Some have remained loyal to the choir since its inception. In 1998, the 25th anniversary was celebrated with a large singing evening and an MC was released independently. The first conductor was Mr. Kramp, who was succeeded after three years by Mr. 't Mannetje. This passionate conductor, who conducted several choirs, was the musical director for over 20 years, after which he was succeeded by Mr. Henk Weiss. For the past two years, the choir has been singing under the inspiring leadership of Kees Moree. The choir's purpose, to proclaim God's great deeds through singing, continues to be embodied in a delightful way.
