Eric Koevoets studied organ (Performing and Teaching Musician) at the Rotterdam Conservatory with Jet Dubbeldam, piano (Teaching Musician) with Frans van Hoek, and choral conducting with Barend Schuurman. He also took improvisation lessons with Arie J. Keijzer. In 1992, he obtained the church music diploma before the Competency Certificates Committee of the Roman Catholic Church. In recent years, he further deepened his improvisation skills with Hayo Boerema. He regularly gives organ concerts, works as an accompanist, and has composed various works. Since 2007, he has been the conductor-organist of the Sint Lambertus Church in Rotterdam-Kralingen. In addition, he is the conductor of the women's choir La Confiance from Dordrecht and a piano and organ teacher at the Muziekonderwijscentrum Dubbelsteyn in Dordrecht.
In recent years, many CDs of his performances have been released, including a CD box with the complete organ works of César Franck.
He is currently deeply engaged in performing the complete organ works of Johann Sebastian Bach during concerts and CD recordings. In addition, he made, among others, the CD ‘Voix Céleste,’ a live CD with Symphony II and Symphony V by Charles-Marie Widor, and recently the CD ‘Himmelwärts’ featuring works by Franz Liszt, Charles Tournemire, and Richard Wagner, including the Wesendonck Lieder with Jenny Haisma, soprano. Recently, the double CD with the complete organ sonatas of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach was presented.
