Dries van den Berg was born in 1959 in Elspeet, a small town on the Veluwe. At a very young age he was very interested in organ music. He received his first organ lessons at the age of eight from his uncle Rini van den Berg. He also studied with organ teacher Jan van Gijn (organist of the Grote Kerk in Apeldoorn) and with Henk van der Maten in Heerde. Recordings have already been made in Hasselt and in the Martinikerk in Bolsward. Various improvisations have also been published. He is also the permanent organist of the Hervormde Kerk in Elspeet.
