Diego Dijkmans started playing the piano at the age of 6. From that moment, he realized that there is nothing more beautiful than making music every day and constantly discovering new pieces. Additionally, he is a psychology student.
His goal is to touch people through music, life lessons, and stories, making them realize how special life truly is. Playing together with orchestras is his greatest passion. The sound of the piano combined with a large symphony orchestra brings music to life and creates an effect that can be felt throughout the body.Starting from the age of 14, he joined the young talents class at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Zwolle. He completed his bachelor's degree under the guidance of Sepp Grotenhuis, finishing in 2025 with specializations in orchestral music, accompaniment, and solo repertoire. He continues his career with great enthusiasm and joy in the master's program with the same teacher, his good friend and mentor Sepp Grotenhuis. Playing with the NJO and the orchestral ensemble de ereprijs promises a special future as a professional pianist.
Diego has had the privilege of performing as a soloist with several orchestras and executing various piano concertos, including Rachmaninov's second piano concerto, Brahms' second concerto, and Chopin's first concerto. Combined with stories, poems, and psychological insights, he reaches people on different levels, not only to help them understand themselves better, but precisely to create an unforgettable experience.
