Dick Roelofsen is a Dutch conductor and horn player.
Roelofsen received his first music lessons at the Harmonie Ede and played the horn in this band. He studied horn at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Arnhem with Frits Hehne and Jaap Prinsen, among others.
In 1976, he became a horn player with the Marine Band of the Royal Netherlands Navy. From 1984 to 1988, he studied wind band conducting at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Enschede. In 1998, he became assistant conductor with the Marine Band in Rotterdam. After the departure of Maurice Hamers, he succeeded him as conductor of the military professional wind band on April 1, 2000, pending the appointment of a new conductor.
Two of the many highlights with this orchestra were the performance with Volumia! at "Sail Amsterdam" and the farewell ceremony for the horse Gestion Bonfire of Olympic dressage champion Anky van Grunsven. But for him, it was a great honor to conduct the annual Corps Concert.

With the arrival of Pieter Jansen, Roelofsen returned to his position as bandmaster with the rank of First Lieutenant. He was also conductor of the Christian Music and Showband Juliana, Amersfoort, and the Brassband Gelderland from 1987 to 2001. Currently, he is still conductor of the Harmonie Ede, and since January 2009, he has again been conductor of Juliana Amersfoort, but now of the third orchestra, "concert orchestra Willem III".
