The Stromenland Musicians have been playing the cheerful folk music from Bohemia with great pleasure for years. This atmospheric "Egerländer" has its melody lines mainly in the brass and requires a lot of technical skill and endurance from the musicians. The orchestra therefore consists largely of professionals.
With "Von Böhmen rund um die Welt" the orchestra wants to show that the time is ripe for a breakthrough. The own sound is pursued by surprising arrangements and more dynamics. The variety that the orchestra usually brings to its programs also characterizes this CD. The 14 different works were recorded on only 2 tracks, which makes the natural character stand out better. The "Olympic March" has never even been released on CD by an Egerländer orchestra before.
