Csaba Erdös (1968) was born in Hungary. He received his education at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, where he studied with László Mezö and chamber music with Ferenc Rados and János Devich. He later continued his studies at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam with Dmitri Ferschtman, and at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels with Carlo Schmitz.

Over the years, he has won several awards, including third prize at the Antal Friss National Cello Competition in 1978. In 1981, he won first prize at the same competition. In 1985, he received the Festival Prize for Chamber Music in Budapest, and in 1990 he was awarded second prize at the international competition in Altamura, Italy.

He has regularly performed across various European countries as the cellist of the Prometheus Sonata Duo, including in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Croatia, and Hungary. He has appeared as a soloist with the Szolnok Symphony Orchestra, served as principal cellist of Camerata Transsylvanica Budapest, and has been a member of Holland Symfonia since 2000.
