Our ensemble was founded in January 2008 under the name Christian Young Men’s Choir Jubilate, conducted by Lennert Knops. In 2023, after 15 years, Lennert passed the baton to Peter Burger, and the ensemble continued under the name Christian Men’s Ensemble Jubilate.
Jubilate’s repertoire consists of psalms and spiritual songs. The ensemble distinguishes itself by presenting an enthusiastic and professional performance with a maximum of 20 singers. As a result, the choir participates in 4 to 8 concerts per year, either independently or in collaboration with musicians or other choirs, performing throughout the country.
Rehearsals take place once every two weeks at the Lindtse Church in Zwijndrecht. The singers come from various towns in the surrounding region.
“Hear Our Prayer” is the most recently released CD. Previously released CDs include “Sing of His Faithfulness,” “Sing a Psalm,” and “Show Me the Way.” The choir also contributed to “He Lives,” a choral work about Easter morning, and “Immanuel, God Be with Us,” a jubilee CD by Arie van der Vlist.
