Chr. Mannenkoor Ede
More than 103 times played this month
Every man and every voice is unique, but more than 110 men from the Ede region bring them together in the Christian Men’s Choir Ede. Together, we sing psalms and hymns, proclaiming the Word of God through music. Singing together and experiencing both traditional and contemporary texts and melodies touches our members as well as our audiences during concerts in the region and beyond.
The Christian Men’s Choir Ede (CME) was founded in March 1982. At that time, we started with 23 members. Today, we are growing into a choir of 110 men, with an average age of 55. Our choir was initially led by Wim van Galen, and for more than 13 years now, Jan Hendrik van Schothorst has been our conductor.
Our repertoire consists of psalms, well-known hymns, and patriotic songs. CME is an interdenominational men’s choir. Many men choose our choir for that very reason: together, we are CME. Our warm sound is what makes CME so well known, as is our down-to-earth mentality. Every Thursday evening, we come together. We enjoy a strong sense of community, a pleasant atmosphere, and genuine care for one another. Last but not least, the approach of our enthusiastic and dedicated conductor helps to unite us.
CME strives to present a varied program and frequently collaborates with well-known musicians and soloists. Would you like to experience CME live? You are warmly welcome at our concerts.
