More than 202 times played this month
The Christian Reformed Pniëlkoor in Veenendaal was founded in August 1968. The goal of the choir is to spread the Gospel by singing spiritual songs.
Since 1986, the choir has been conducted by Arie Loonstra and under his capable leadership the choir has become what it is today and what you can hear on this CD.
In the past 25 years, the choir has grown to 100 members. On the occasion of this 25th anniversary, this CD was recorded in the Grote of St. Maartenskerk in Tiel.
The choir regularly gives performances, with or without other choirs. The choir is a welcome guest in nursing homes and retirement homes.
Arie Loonstra, born in 1961 in Barneveld, received his musical education at the Municipal Conservatory in Arnhem. He is organist in the Dutch Reformed Church in Ede and conductor of four mixed choirs and a youth choir. Characteristic of his choir conducting is the attention to the intelligibility, the breathing and the musical portrayal of the text.
