Arie de Haan was born in 1964 and raised in The Netherlands. At age 22, he immigrated to Canada to join his family. It was in Canada that he developed a love for sacred music. He joined a local choir and is one of the original members of the Mattaniah Christian Male Choir since it was first started in 1990. Since 1999 Arie is the President of the Mattaniah choir and in 2000 he began singing solo with the choir. Arie thoroughly enjoys singing and he views it as a ministry to touch hearts. In 2002 he began taking private voice lessons under Laura Henderson at Welland Music Academy in Welland, Ontario. Arie has just released his first CD recording titled: “I Will Sing Of My Redeemer”. Currently he is working towards his grade 8 vocal certificate from Royal Conservatory. ‘Music and especially singing is one of the most beautiful and rewarding gifts the Lord has given mankind to respond in worship to His great love and mercy’, says Arie
Today he resides with his wife Martha and their five children in Ridgeville, Ontario,
where he conducts his business as a homebuilder.
