Anke has over thirty years of teaching experience. She has successfully prepared various students for the conservatory harp entrance exam, and several of her students have won prizes in competitions.

Anke studied harp at the Utrecht Conservatory under Erika Waardenburg. In 1985, she obtained her teaching diploma and the following year, the Performing Musician diploma.

Under the name 'Anke Anderson,' she has made numerous CD recordings, including collaborations with organist Martin Mans. Since 1997, she has formed a permanent duo with cellist Mariėtte Gort, with whom she has recorded three CDs. Additionally, she provided music for the preschool production "Roos en het rengras" by the Opera Tralala foundation. She works as a freelance harpist with various choirs.

Anke is also trained as a children's choir conductor. The children's choirs of the Katwijk Music School are under her direction. In 2010, her children's choir Cantar won the third prize at the Dutch Choir Festival.

Furthermore, she organizes music projects in primary schools in Katwijk.

Anke is married to composer Simon Burgers.
