Pianist Aaron Pilsan (born in 1995 in Dornbirn, Austria) is internationally recognized as one of the leading talents of his generation. In 2011, he was named Best Young Artist of the Year by Fono Forum, and in 2014 he was selected as an ECHO Rising Star, which led to performances in Europe’s most prestigious venues, including the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Boulez Saal Berlin, and the Philharmonie de Paris.
He is a frequent guest at major festivals such as the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, Schubertiade, and Klavierfestival Ruhr. As a passionate chamber musician, he regularly performs with artists including Kian Soltani, Isabelle Faust, and the Quartetto di Cremona, and collaborates with contemporary composers such as Jörg Widmann and Thomas Larcher.
His debut album on Naïve, featuring works by Schubert and Beethoven, received international acclaim; in 2018, Deutsche Grammophon released HOME, a musical tribute to his Austrian roots, recorded with Kian Soltani.
Pilsan studied at the Mozarteum Salzburg with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and was a protégé of Lars Vogt. He is supported by the Orpheum Foundation and received the Förderpreis Deutschlandfunk in 2017.
